There be no blush about my name. Everyone, at one point in his or her life, experiences greed. Not because of choice, rather, by human nature alone. In The Crucible, Arthur Miller portrays greed throughout many of the main characters. The main people, for example, include Thomas Putnam, Abigail, and Danforth. Each character shows greed in their own way. Dear Abigail Williams, I apologize to you. For your mind was so young, for I disrupted it. Let it be the fault of my own for not showing you the wrong. For you Abigail, only seventeen and I thirty, I could not resist. So much lust that I have not stumbled upon in so long and there it was, you. No one should have taken the blame but myself. I apologize for setting the word whore upon you, for it was I all along. However, Abigail did try to pursue me and I told her to understand that I no longer have feelings for her and that is was a blunder. She then attempted to tell me I was mislead and did have feelings for her.

She then insulted Elizabeth and I threatened her whipping. She then stated that I put thoughts in her head, which I never had any intentions of doing. Later, I scolded Mary Warren to never leave the house and I threatened that she would receive whippings if she chose to do so. All in all it was an indifferent day and I predict a large amount of hysteria among the town of Salem to come. HOME ESSAYS Persuasive Essay On The Crucible.
